Known System Issues / Bugs
As of
05/11/2007, these are the issues/bugs with REGIS of which we are aware. To
report a bug not listed below, please use the REGIS
Feedback Form.
Submit for Approval hangs: It has been reported by some
students that REGIS "hangs" after the Submit for Approval
button is pressed (the Submitting for Approval graphic keeps moving
but nothing happens). In this case, refresh your browser and verify on
the Academic Info page that your schedule status is "Pending
Approval." If it is, then your submission was successful.
Large Pop-Up Windows in Netscape and Mozilla: Users of
Netscape and Mozilla may notice very large pop-up windows. This does
not affect the performance of REGIS in any way. Linux users can resize
the first large pop-up window; subsequent windows should then be
smaller.
Blank windows/frames when using dial-up or otherwise slow
connection: REGIS is a browser- and database-intensive application
and users accessing the system via a dial-up (telephone modem) or slow
network connection may experience periods of time when the browser
window or certain frames in the window are blank. Please be patient
… the window will eventually load.
Can enroll in more than two elective pass/fail courses; can
enroll in more than two PE courses: At the present time, REGIS
will not prevent students from enrolling in more than two elective
pass/fail or PE courses. Students, please review your schedule
carefully before submitting. Any student whose schedule does not meet
Caltech guidelines after the enrollment period has ended will be
contacted by the Registrar's Office to modify the schedule
appropriately.
